Pendleton Family Practice

Providing Excellence in Child Health

About Us

Pendleton Family Practice is one of the first private clinics to be established in Zambia in 1984. Formally called Pendleton Health Care Clinic, it has been providing quality medical outpatient treatment and care for over 30 years. From inception, it has been fully owned and run by Zambian doctors with years of experience in both the public and private health care sectors. Over the years, the clinic has shifted its focus from general medicine to specialist Paediatrics and Child Health care. It is now a fully-fledged children’s clinic only.

This entails the provision of quality outpatient treatment and care for children 16 years and younger. The management team has a deep understanding of its clientele’s health needs and has adapted its service delivery to suit the prevailing health dynamics in Zambia. Additionally, the medical team is constantly researching new diagnostic and treatment options with the aim of providing up to date patient care. All clinical staff have passed through rigorous screening methods thereby ensuring competent and consistent patient care. Our clinical team attends regular Continuous Medical Education training locally and internationally staying current with evidence based medical practices. This ensures our patients get the latest treatment options in primary health care.

The team is always available to ensure that patients are cared for in a happy and child friendly environment. Parents are given enough time to consult with our doctors and nurses to fully understand their children’s ailments or health issues. All patients are seen by appointment for all services provided in the clinic. This system ensures each patient receives individualised and dedicated care in a timely manner. Finally, when the need arises for inpatient care, patients are referred to our dedicated and competent list of specialist health professionals working in various private and public hospitals.
